ON FRIENDS... A tribute? Nah!

Hi friends, its been a long time since i posted(wasnt it last week????)Today i want to do something that all the bloggers on Earth do. Post on something about my life(Hello! bear with me)I know i shouldnt be boring u but hey Friendship day is due on the 3rd so i wanted to wish all of u a VERY HAPPY F DAY( I little early i guess).
Like all of u out there even i have very special friends in my life. Friends are supposed to be people with whom u share your deepest secrets and they are the pillar of your strength. Yes. i know it would be very unjust of me to mention a few on my blog but thats how life is(i am so evil!) So i want to tell u about some really good friends of mine and qualities of them i like.

To start with there is :-

1)SAGNICK(Ryudo)> He pretends to be a tough critic but he is extremely sweet and senti, the one who gets easily hurt. Lately i realized that whenever i am trying to do something(like drawing, singing and blah) he pretends that he is like crap in it and then he praises me for being so good at whatever i do. He really likes keeping others happy, one who couldnt hurt a fly.

2)Shuvojit> is another of my closest frinds(sorry if i'm grammatically incorrect somewhere) He is so easy going, the chilled type. I love hearing his famous oneliner- "I am so bored". He is extremely helpful and is my personal encyclopedia. I tell him even the smallest incidents that happen in my tuition. He cant break a heart,(that is why it is so easy to blackmail him)although he feels leftout sometimes when i and Sag talk about common intrests, then he shift his attention to Arn.

3)Oh that brings me to Arn(Arnab) also infamously known as drool boy. it takes nothing to make him start drooling. He either has a grim expression on his face or all his 32 teeth(err! do we have that many?) are out flashing. he is a very studious but that doesnt stop him from playing Diablo2 or reading GTO. His favourite pastime is (Um! better not mention) Yup he is quite a perv. But a good soul nevertheless.

4)Now coming to SHARAD da> He is a past pupil of my school and his attitude is just so bi*chy. He is cool and trendy. He's also got guts. He is a person with whom i can eally share all my secrets. As soon as i buy a new book and its upto the mark(on his ratometer) he has to have it. We share many things and yes we frequently meet to catch on with the latest gossips. He can paint and play the piano very well, and he knows Japanese(remember).

5)Then there is Surya da(Sharad da's bro). Although i don't remember much of him from back at school(Yes! he was a past pupil as well) but it didnt stop us from resuming the friendship again. He has got an amazing smile and i am grateful to him for bringing all those awesome mangas, anime, comics etc from US. The best thing about him that he is not hard at all, u can crack him like a nut i.e its easy to convince him(Thats not good always). And he is patient and softspoken, u will always have delighful conversations with him.

6)BuBlu(Gunner frost)> Bublu lives near my house and we have been friends from...(i dont remember). we share a very close bond(does that make any sense?). whenever i had a problem playing a game, he was always there to help(Everyone in the world is a better gamer than me. Boo Hoo hoo !). Sometimes we shared a brother-ly bond and somtimes we quarelled like crazy but we always forgave each other. We spent hours over each others house. Its hard to believe that it was 'Pokemon' that made us familiar with each other.

SO THAT BRINGS AN END TO MY POST TODAY. ITS HARD TO SQUEEZE NAMES OF MANY PEOPLE IN A SINGLE POST(DONT WORRY. I WONT BE POSTING ON THIS TOPIC AGAIN) BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN NO ONE ELSE HADNT PLAYED AN IMP ROLE IN MY LIFE. THERE IS RIYAM DA,SOUNAK(YES I DO HAVE NAMESAKES), SAYANTAN AND MANY MORE.... I WOULD LIKE TO END SAYING THAT FRIeND'S AR ASSESTS WE SHOULD NEVER LOSE.

NOTE:Now onwards i will also post small incidents that happen in my life(obviously i'll exaggerate). I hope u liked my small review.... on my friends.

I'm a lazy bum and my life is messed up, so cut me some slack, okay?

Diablo 3...It begins

Finally Blizzard announced their long awaited game Diablo 3. Yes all u fans out their, Diablo's 3rd game will be out their for your pleasure by next year.

Blizzard is yet to decide the 5 classes, players can play with and we are sure to find some new things in the game which will make it a kill like the 1st two games. The story continues 20 yrs after the death of Diablo and the background has been given a much more mature touch with the darker and grim appearance. Lets wait and look forward to the wonderful time we will have playing this game.

1) this is witch-doctor> a class which will probably be included in the game for play.

2)this is Diablo 3's Barbarian. I think he looks much better than the one in the 2nd game.

A must read manga for all mystery lovers

I got great response for the majin Tantei review via mail and many people wanted to know about more about kindaichi case Files. Well I had posted a small link review. Here is a small extract from that site on Kindaichi>

I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed a good mystery read until I tried this series. Each book is a stand-alone “fair play” case in which the reader can match wits with the detectives. The series is reminiscent of a grown-up Encyclopedia Brown with an older cast, more serious crimes, greater emotional motivation, and spooky overtones.

Hajime Kindaichi is an under-achieving troublemaker with a gift for deduction and a grandfather who’s a famous detective. His best friend, Miyuki Nanase, is the only one who defends him, even when people directly ask her “why are you wasting time with that loser?”
A model student, Miyuki is also involved with the school drama club, a connection that creates the setting for the first book’s mystery, The Opera House Murders. The club members are going to a camp to prepare for a national drama competition, and Kindaichi tags along to help with sound effects. Some nice character bits on the way there introduce all the participants and their temperaments. The group’s on edge because of an earlier death, the mysterious suicide of one of the student actresses.
The club is staging The Phantom of the Opera, and the camp location, a resort hotel on an isolated island, doesn’t help settle their emotions. One of the other guests turns out to be a police detective, a helpful coincidence when someone starts murdering the drama club members. Of course, a growing storm prevents outside contact or help.
The book’s chapter breaks start with recaps of the story so far and the characters involved. Even if the reader doesn’t get caught up in trying to figure out who’s behind the killings, the characterization propels them through the story. There’s a good range of student types, and the slow revelation of the circumstances behind the original death is gripping, illustrating the horrible consequences of unthinking teenage pranks.
As the story progresses, the chapters get shorter, building the reader’s anticipation. The book includes the traditional map of the location (for those playing along) and the scene where the cast is gathered together so Kindaichi can reveal his deductive logic and thus the murderer. A crossword puzzle provides an additional clue to solving the mystery.
There’s a strong undercurrent of the possibility of the supernatural. When confronted with a locked-room murder, some of the characters seem to seriously consider whether a ghost is involved. That coordinates nicely with the other cultural contrasts. Since Japanese readers may not be familiar with the story of the Phantom, the events of the play are recapped for the reader. It’s fascinating to see how elements from a foreign (to the original manga reader) culture are turned into mystery themes.

Full Metal Alchemist Manga: Homunculi

A lot of people have talked about the FMA anime. There seems to be a ton of difference between the anime and the manga. All I can say is, i think the manga is better, and here are the Homunculi from the manga. (I've used anime pictures where the pics are the same)

SPOILER WARNING: Post contains info on the manga storyline.




Pride a.ka. Salem : Surprise!! King Bradley's son Salem is actually Pride in disguise. Pride, the very first homunculus created by "Father", is a being of shadows. Although his movement is limited to the capital city and underground tunnels, he is insanely strong.

Below: Wrath, a.k.a. King Bradley. The dictator is a ruthless being under a friendly facade, a master swordsman with a magical eye under the patch.

Lust, the sexiest of the homunculi. Her weapons were her charm, and the way she could transmute parts of her body to razor blades and edges. Destroyed by Roy Mustang.

Gluttony (below): The name says it all. He can eat anything, and can even fire a beam which swallows anything in its path. His stomach is practically an alternate universe.

Below: Sloth. Unlike Gluttony, who is simply stupid, Sloth is nearly brainless. An unstoppable giant on par with the Hulk, he is used by the other homunculi as a beast of burden. His greatest ambition in life is to stop working and take a vacation.

Greed (below left): "The man who wants everything", Greed does not only want fame and fortune, he also wants love and friends, comrades, servants and followers. Since he refuses to sacrifice his followers and friends, he ends up rebelling against the homunculi.

Greed in Lin's body (below right): When Greed first rebels, the others destroy his body, wipe his memory, and plant his soul into Lin's body to try and regain his services. It works... only for a little bit.

Envy, the shapeshifting homunculi responsible for killing Colonel Hughes.
